mobjects is the title of my master's thesis at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program. The project looks at the ways in which the mobile phone has affected us from a humanistic point of view. How has it changed the attitudes of our communication? How has it changed our relationship to loved ones? I set out to develop several devices that would treat the mobile phone purely as a modem/radio, something that gets us connected. Each mobject would personalize a message or emotion, offering different interfaces for our most intimate technology-mediated relationships.
